Which email providers does Vigilo support?
Vigilo currently protects Gmail and Outlook (including Hotmail and Live) accounts. Connecting your email takes just a couple of taps during setup, and Vigilo will start watching for phishing and scam attempts right away. If you use a different email provider, let us know, we're always working on adding more.
How do I set up Vigilo for someone else, like a parent?
You can set up protection for a parent or loved one easily. Just subscribe at myvigilo.com, and during the onboarding process select the option that you're protecting someone else. At that point you'll be able to send them a pairing link, which will connect your account and subscription to their phone and activate their protection.
I got an alert about something that isn't actually spam, what do I do?
No worries, this happens sometimes, especially with new senders. Just open the alert in Recent Activity and tap "Not spam." For email, Vigilo will try to move the message back into the inbox, and it will remember not to flag similar messages from that sender again. It's a quick way to help Vigilo get smarter over time.
Why does Vigilo ask for all these permissions?
Vigilo needs a few permissions to actually keep you safe: access to your calls and texts so it can screen for scams, and permission to keep running in the background so protection never quietly turns off. These permissions are used only for protection, never for anything else, and you can always review what's connected in Settings.
